Kamekio Lewis is the CEO and Founder of Career Concepts Incorporated, a Vocational Training & Consulting Firm.

She is a United States Army Veteran, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, with a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling

with over 20 years of experience working in the Vocational Rehabilitation field, helping veterans, survivors of domestic violence,

students and adults with disabilities to secure employment in a challenging job market.

Kamekio believes in promoting empowerment and independence through employment!

Kamekio has the honor of serving as the Statewide Employment Coordinator & Consultant for CMI Healthcare Services,

one of the largest community mental health facilities in West Tennessee.

 

She has successfully implemented several employment initiatives within this agency to include: The IPS Supported Employment program, which is an evidence-based model that helps people with mental illness achieve steady, meaningful employment in mainstream competitive jobs. The Supported Employment model, which is a unique employment service for individuals with physical and mental disabilities who require ongoing support services to succeed in competitive employment and Pre-Employment Transition Services, which are specific career exploration and job readiness services that help students with disabilities prepare for future employment.
