Purpose
Dr. Kamekio Lewis is the CEO and Founder of Career Concepts Incorporated, a Vocational Training & Consulting Firm.
She is a United States Army Veteran, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, with a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling
with over 20 years of experience working in the Vocational Rehabilitation field, helping veterans, survivors of domestic violence,
students and adults with disabilities to secure employment in a challenging job market.
Kamekio believes in promoting Empowerment & Independence through Employment!
Kamekio has the honor of serving as the Statewide Employment Coordinator & Consultant for CMI Healthcare Services,
one of the largest community mental health facilities in West Tennessee.
She has successfully implemented several employment initiatives within this agency to include: The IPS Supported Employment program, which is an evidence-based model that helps people with mental illness achieve steady, meaningful employment in mainstream competitive jobs. The Supported Employment model, which is a unique employment service for individuals with physical and mental disabilities who require ongoing support services to succeed in competitive employment and Pre-Employment Transition Services, which are specific career exploration and job readiness services that help students with disabilities prepare for future employment.
Workforce Solutions
We offer consulting services for community organizations. Our goal is to help local, state, and government agencies implement strategic programs that provide workforce solutions and services for the consumers that you serve.
Workforce Solutions promotes empowerment through employment, providing job readiness trainings and job placement assistance to help job seekers and their families lead active, meaningful and independent lives.
Vocational Training
We offer trainings and workshops to help job seekers find the excitement and long term benefits of going to work.
Our goal is to promote financial freedom and flexibility to help consumers detach from depending on public assistance.
We also provide in service trainings and workshops to help meet the training needs of vocational rehabilitation personnel, high school special educators, transition specialist, and other community providers.
